Britain’s Hockey team defeated the Indians in final of World’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament by 2-0 at the Prince of Wales Country Club, in Santiago, Chile, on Sunday. With this shameful lose, India is out from the Olympics going to happen in China in coming August of this year. First time in Indian history of 80 years, we lose the Olympics.
Eight-time gold medalists India failed to make it to the Olympics for the first time since their debut in 1928. After this loses, Indian coach Jokim Karwalwoh and his staff colleagues announced for their resignation.
Britain players have shown wonderful play and made 2 goals at the very start of the game against India. Barry Middleton made goal at 4th minute and Richard Mantell on 10th for Britain. Prabhjot from Indian team had shown good efforts to ease the pressure from the opposite team but all in vain. Britain beaten India 3-2 in the league and capitalized on the two early chances that came their way, while the Indians did not.
